Hey, I am in need of some ideas of activities to do with my horse so she doesn’t get bored. The main arena is rather small and the upper pen is a bit bigger, but neither are very spacious. I am working on finding some things to use like barrels, but am in need of some other creative ideas besides figure eights, etc. Got any? Also, what types of objects are involved if any? Thanks!
You know I was just asking that question a few weeks ago. I found some really good ideas. You could practice ridding bare back. Walk, Trot, then Lope. It is kinda fun to do by your self. Then you can set up an obstacle coarse. You know. Put a few jumps only a 3 or 4 inches off the ground. Put a trap down or something that will make noise when going over it. Have him back between something. Put cones out. Then time your self and try to get your best time. There is another game I really like to practice my bare back skills. It is called ride-a-buck. All you do is put a dollar bill under your thigh and try to keep there through all of your horses gates on bare back. It takes some practice. Also you can teach your horse a simple trick. Try teaching him to sit or bow or smile. That is great for your horse and stimulates the brain. My personal favorite is to make up a ridding routine that is in sync to music. It is really cool. I am working on one with my horse now. I think that you and your horse will love it. Another thing to do is take a carrot and hold it behind your back and run and get your horse to follow you. That will be fun for both of you. Well those are just a few things to do out of the many. Also you can go to Google and look up fun things to do with my horse. I hope I really helped. Good Luck!

I read that the people at Google can use a part of their working time not for their normal work but to be creative and to invent new ideas during that time. How does the leadership of Google then gets to know this ideas?
Do the people put these ideas into the intranet, where it can be judged by the colleagues. Or is their a committee of some people, which collects the ideas and evaluates them. Or is it quite different?
Google encourages their employees to spend 20 percent of their time working on ideas they feel will be most beneficial to Google.
Based on Google’s lavish employee benefits (i.e. free food, tuition reimbursement, back-up child care, etc.), employees whose ideas become reality most likely get generous compensation. Additionally, they get notoriety and a good shot at a promotion.
I also noticed, while reviewing Google patents, that all contributing employees names appear to be listed.
Know about tulle and ribbon, but wonder if any person into crafts has other ideas. Thanks so much. Arts and crafts not provided for catagory, but maybe someone will see it.
There are a lot of great little "tins" you can get at a relatively reasonable price. (I like the ones on www.myjean.com). You can decorate them with photo’s of the wedding couple or whatever you want really.
You might also want to consider little rice boxes. (Like the ones you would get from Chinese Restaurants but WAY smaller). Essential Packaging has some really cute ones!
Hope that helps…
